This moment cannot just be a temporary surge in white guilt leading to reactionary care and support. We must all make plans for ongoing action and practices of solidarity for funds and creative ecosystems that support black folks.

In an effort to encourage recurring support, we’re launching a matching campaign for ongoing support for the movement for Black liberation and racial justice. NAVEL will match up to $3,000 in recurring donations or monthly membership dues to organizations, collectives, funds, and organizing efforts towards Black liberation.

We’ll publish a list of supported collectives, orgs, funds, and initiatives as we match memberships and donations, and will continue to encourage NAVEL community members to sustain the movement for Black lives with meaningful, ongoing support.

Here’s how it works:

1. Send us a copy of a receipt for your ongoing/recurring donation or membership dues to an organization or fund by DMing us on IG or emailing us at _contact@navel.la_. We’ll match any membership or recurring donation made after June 1, 2020.
2. For the next 6 months, we’ll amplify your ongoing donation or membership dues by matching your monthly amount to your org or cause.
3. At the end of the 6 months, we encourage you to maintain your monthly giving and ongoing support to your chosen organization, fund, collective, or effort.
4. Feel free to use this list we’ve compiled to find a fund or cause to support. We also are huge fans of @annika.izora’s list of *Creative Ecosystems and Funds Supporting Black Folks**.
