Do you have a collaborative project you’ve been trying to get off the ground? A reading group you’ve been itching to lead? A field of study you’ve always wanted to explore? Propose an ASSEMBLY!

Now in its third term, ASSEMBLIES is NAVEL’s collaborative learning platform providing agitators with the space, resources, and co-conspirators to investigate a topic or area of interest of their choice.

You can now sign-up to present at the next Pitch mMeting on Monday, February 10 about an ASSEMBLY you would like to propose and lead. All proposed ASSEMBLIES will get 5 minutes at the meeting to make a clear, persuasive case for their proposal.

ASSEMBLIES

The ASSEMBLIES program at NAVEL is a platform for collaborative research, discussion and creation invested in forms of learning that are cooperative, experimental and process-oriented. Community-led, these learning groups form around a theme, practice or project, and NAVEL provides space, a peer network and resources. At the end of each term, the groups are invited to share about their findings during a public event, and their research, projects and presentations are made available online.

To hear from the most recent ASSEMBLIES groups, join us on Monday, February 3 from 7-10PM for Q2 Public Presentations.

All are welcomed to participate in ASSEMBLIES regardless of background, experience, or expertise, as long as you have the desire to dive into a topic of interest and commit to it for a period of 3 months!

How do I participate in an ASSEMBLY?

Come to the Pitch Meeting on Monday, February 10 from 7-10PM to learn more about each proposed ASSEMBLY. Once the chosen ASSEMBLIES are announced on February 26th, you’ll have until March 15th to sign up to participate.

The Spring 2020 ASSEMBLIES run from March 15-June 15, 2020 with a public presentation on June 22, 2020.
